SOCIAL STUDIES

Social Studies is the integrated study of history, social sciences, and humanities that promotes knowledge of human cultures and civilizations.
The principal goal of the subject area is to provide children with learning experiences that enable them to learn about the past, understand the present, and prepare for the future.
The Social Studies curriculum follows the content standards established by the Diocese of Wilmington and the State of Delaware. It empowers children to use concepts and skills to understand historical, economic, geographical, social, and political principles. Further, they are encouraged to develop life skills that enable them to become critical thinkers and enlighten citizens with Catholic values |
