Children develop an understanding of the beliefs of the Catholic faith in a manner appropriate for their age and ability through in-class prayer and practices, and attendance at school liturgies.
Emotional and social development are fostered by providing experiences for learning self-control, a positive self-concept, cooperation, social relationships, and knowledge of family and community.
Children learn practices to understand good nutrition and how to stay healthy.
Mathematical experiences occur for number sense and operations, geometry and spatial sense, patterning and measuring, and data collection and problem solving.
Children are exposed to language and literacy development through the use of the Open Court Pre-K curriculum.
There are daily opportunities to encourage both fine and gross motor development.
Scientific concepts are experienced through the use of the children's five senses in exploration of nature.
To supplement in-classroom experiences, the Pre-K also has weekly Physical Education, Library, Art, and Music classes.
