KINDERGARTEN
The Kindergarten program is child centered as well as academic.  In this developmentally appropriate environment, children have the opportunity to blossom intellectually, socially, creatively, physically and spiritually.

Children are taught to think, solve problems, share ideas, write and read at their level.  They learn through active involvement in a stimulating classroom environment.  Children engage in serious play as they role-play, build with blocks, count beads, plant seeds, scoop sand and water, and write stories.  Through activities, children learn skills, which overlap and which are presented in a meaningful context to the child.

There are eight main subject areas in Kindergarten: language arts (oral language, listening, writing, reading), religion, social studies, science, math, art, music and physical education.  These subject areas are integrated through unifying themes that children enjoy exploring.  During the school year, they learn skills and concepts actively, concretely and autonomously.
