is communicated between school and home through the use of a "Friday Folder" system. Each week student information including the weekly school newsletter, tests, classwork, written announcements, etc., are brought home with students on Friday via the folder. Items requiring signature or other notes/payments, etc., may be sent back to school via the folder on Monday.
The Interim and Trimester Progress Reports will be distributed and transported home via this system at appropriate times throughout the year, as well.

SCHOOL LENTEN LITURGIES/STATIONS: School liturgy will be celebrated most Fridays of Lent at 9:00 a.m. Stations of the Cross will be offered for students most Fridays at 1:45 p.m. We will continue to collect canned goods at both the Masses and the Stations to support the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Parents and families are invited to attend both the liturgies and the Stations of the Cross. Following is the schedule of liturgies and Stations of the Cross.

ATTENTION 7TH GRADE PARENTS: It is the responsibility of the 7th Grade to host the 7th/8th Grade Social. There will be a meeting on Monday, March 15th at 7:00 pm in the school. We really need every family to help in any way they can in order to make this event possible. If you can’t attend this meeting, please e-mail Jaclyn Panaccione at JP64Eagle@aol.com to discuss how you can help. DO YOU LOVE A BARGAIN? Get a jump on your Spring shopping and check out the Children’s Clothing and Toy Resale on Saturday, March 13th from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm in the Martin Center. This promises to be a huge Sale! Support our school by shopping all the great bargains in children’s clothing, school uniforms, toys, books, games, etc. Bring a friend!!!! CLEANING OUT YOUR CLOSETS??? The SCS Children’s Resale is still accepting donations of children’s clothing, toys, books, play equipment, and other items. If you would like to donate your children’s items to the Sale, please contact Sue Browne at 998-9377 or stbrowne@ashland.com to arrange to drop off your items. SCS will receive all the proceeds from the sale of donated items and any unsold items will be donated to charity after the Sale. We are able to help our school and many charities through your generous donations. A tax receipt will be provided. Thank you!
HELP NEEDED!!!! If you haven’t already done so, please return your volunteer sign-up sheet as soon as possible. (A copy is attached; please note the e-mail address correction for LouAnne Thompson.) As you know, the Sale has grown larger each year and we need many volunteers to make the Sale a success. Any time you can give is appreciated. Thank you for your support of this important fundraiser for our school.
ATTENTION PARENTS: Did you or any of your siblings or adult children attend St. Catherine of Siena Elementary School? If so, make sure to give us your contact information to ensure you receive an invitation to the SCS Golden Jubilee Reunion on April 24th. You don’t want to miss the celebration! GIRLS BASKETBALL: The 5th & 6th Grade girls Basketball Team defeated St. Anthony’s on Monday evening (26-24) on a buzzer beater by Olivia C. The team will play at 9:45 am on Saturday, March 13th at the St. Elizabeth’s Center for the Championship. Come out and show your school spirit and cheer us on to victory. GO WILDCATS! ACME RECEIPTS CONTEST: It’s time to collect the most Acme and Zingos receipts for a SCS contest! Save your receipts and return them to your teacher. The class with the most money in receipts will be treated to “walking tacos” on the afternoon of their choice. Contest ends March 31st. Good luck to all grades!
