Windows platform computers are used for Grades K through 8. Classes follow the Diocesan curriculum, which includes keyboarding, word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, Power Point, and database instruction. Keyboarding is introduced in Grade 4. A variety of software is utilized for activities that stimulate thinking, reasoning, and communication skills.
The Computer Lab is also used to enhance and supplement all curriculum areas. Computer curriculum projects are integrated with classroom projects whenever possible.
The Computer Lab is fully networked with Internet access on each of the 18 student computer workstations, according to school and Diocesan recommendations. Classes come to the Lab in half-groups once a week, allowing every student the use of their own computer and affording them the benefit of small group hands-on instruction.
